Editing Your Proposal

Click any section to edit it directly in the browser

MyPitchFlow includes a built-in rich text editor so you can fine-tune your proposal without leaving the app. Every section is editable — click on any paragraph, heading, or list to open the editor.

Click-to-Edit Sections

Click anywhere in a proposal section to open the editor. A formatting toolbar appears when you select text, giving you quick access to:

Press Escape or click outside to save your changes. The proposal updates instantly.

Copy Actions

Hover over any section to reveal quick-action buttons in the top-right corner:

Copies that section’s markdown to your clipboard

Copy full proposal

Copies the entire proposal (button at the top of the content area)

Useful for pasting into emails, Google Docs, or other tools.

Adding & Removing Sections

Hover between any two sections to reveal an Add section divider. Click it to insert a new blank section and start editing immediately. If you cancel without typing, the empty section is automatically removed.

Drag & Drop Source Files

On the proposal form, you can drag and drop RFPs or briefs anywhere on the page. The AI extracts context from your document to pre-fill form fields. A hint banner at the top of the form reminds you of this shortcut. If you don’t have a document handy, click Try the demo in the banner instead.

Editing in Demo Mode

Visitors on the landing page can also edit the demo proposal — the same click-to-edit experience is available without an account. The Word download exports whatever you’ve edited. AI-powered features like Refine with AI require a free account.

Proposal Versioning

Three ways to create new versions of a proposal

Once you have a proposal, you can iterate on it. Every new version is tracked (V1, V2, V3...) and you can switch between them using the version history dropdown.

Refine This Version

Best for: Small tweaks — adjust tone, add a section, change pricing structure.

Describe what should change in plain language. The AI takes your current proposal and evolves it, keeping the existing structure and services intact.

Review & Validation Mode

Keyboard-driven review for fast approval of questionnaire answers

Review Mode lets you quickly step through all questionnaire answers using keyboard shortcuts. It uses a two-level navigation system: row-level for fast approval, cell-level for detailed editing.

Row Mode (Default)

When you enter Review Mode, the first row is highlighted. At row level:

Click the revoke button next to any recipient to remove their access instantly

Shared links are read-only. Recipients cannot edit the proposal or questionnaire answers.

The AI Assistant lives in the chat panel at the bottom-right of your screen. It can help with everything from generating proposals to reviewing questionnaire answers.

The dashboard is your home base. Every proposal you create is automatically saved here, organized with the most recent first.

Finding Proposals

Type in the search bar to filter by proposal title, client name, or project details. Results update as you type.

Status Filters

Click the filter pills to show proposals by status:

Click any column header (Title, Client, Status, Updated) to sort your proposals. Click again to reverse the sort direction. An arrow indicator shows the current sort column and direction.

Use the Upload button next to "New Proposal" to import an existing document (Word or PDF) as a proposal in your workspace.

Deleting a Proposal

A confirmation dialog appears first. After confirming, you have 5 seconds to undo via a toast notification at the bottom of the screen. After 5 seconds, the proposal and all its versions are permanently removed.

1. Be Specific in Project Descriptions

Instead of:

"Build a website"

Write:

"Build a 10-page corporate website with contact form, blog, and team directory. Must be mobile-responsive and include SEO optimization."

2. Upload Client Briefs When Available

Even a simple email pasted into a Word doc gives the AI much richer context than manually typing a summary. Upload the original whenever possible.

3. Use Versioning to Your Advantage

Don't aim for perfection on V1. Generate quickly, then Refine to adjust specific sections. It's faster than trying to get every input perfect upfront.

4. Always Review Pricing

AI-generated pricing is indicative. Always download the proposal and adjust pricing to match your actual rates before sending to a client.

5. Track Your Pipeline

Use the status system (Draft → Sent → Won/Lost) to keep track of where each proposal stands. Filter your dashboard by status to see your active pipeline at a glance.

6. Choose Your Language

Switch the interface to your preferred language using the language selector in the navigation bar. Your preference is saved automatically across sessions.

Troubleshooting

Common issues and how to fix them

The Generate button is disabled
Make sure you've selected at least one service and filled in all required fields (client name, industry, description, and needs). If you uploaded a brief, the text fields become optional.
File upload won't work
PDF (.pdf), Word (.docx), and Excel (.xlsx, .csv) files are supported. If the upload seems stuck, the file may be very large — wait up to 60 seconds. Password-protected or corrupted files cannot be processed.
Proposal generation failed
This usually means the AI service is temporarily unavailable. Wait 30 seconds and try again. If the problem persists, check your internet connection.
I can't find my proposal
All proposals are saved automatically. Go to your Dashboard and use the search bar to find it by title or client name. Check that you're not filtering by a specific status.
RFP answers have low confidence
Low confidence means your knowledge center doesn't have enough information on that topic. Upload more relevant documents (case studies, policies, product docs) to improve answer quality.
Questionnaire structure not detected
The system auto-detects column roles. If detection is wrong, you can manually adjust the column mapping before generating answers.
Download doesn't start
Your browser's pop-up blocker might be interfering. Allow pop-ups for this site. If the file downloads but seems empty, try a different browser.
I accidentally deleted a proposal
If you see the undo toast at the bottom of the screen, click Undo immediately. You have 5 seconds. After that, the deletion is permanent.
I forgot my password
Click Forgot Password on the login page. Enter your email and check your inbox for a reset link. The link expires after a limited time.

Do I need an account?

How long does generation take?

Typically 15–30 seconds for proposals. RFP questionnaires with many questions may take 1–2 minutes as each batch of questions is processed.

Can I edit the proposal in-app?

Yes. Click any section to open the built-in rich text editor with formatting tools (bold, italic, headings, lists). Questionnaire answers can be edited directly in the spreadsheet editor.

How accurate are AI-generated RFP answers?

Accuracy depends on your knowledge center. Answers grounded in your company data typically score 85%+. Each answer includes a confidence score so you know which ones to review.

Does the AI learn from my corrections?

Yes. When you edit an AI-generated answer, the correction is recorded. Future generations will use your corrections to improve answer quality and style.

How many proposals can I create?

The Starter plan includes 3 free proposals. Professional and Enterprise plans offer unlimited proposals. Visit the pricing page to request a demo.

Can I share proposals externally?

Yes. Use the Share button to invite recipients via email. They receive a read-only link to view the proposal and questionnaire. You can revoke access at any time.

Who can see my proposals?

Only you and anyone you explicitly share with. Proposals are tied to your workspace and are not visible to others unless you share.

What file formats are supported?

PDF, DOCX for briefs and proposals. XLSX, CSV for RFP questionnaires. Markdown for version uploads. All text is extracted client-side before processing.

How do I change the interface language?

Click the language selector in the navigation bar to switch between English and French. Your preference is saved automatically.
